Kitchens

Makeovers for tired old kitchen units. A 20 year old pine kitchen, well made and perfect in layout, however the overall look was dark, dingy and old-fashioned.   The worktop needed stripping and resurfacing, and a new sink unit and taps were required in addition to new flooring. The units were prepared and repainted and a subtle paint effect then applied to the inner panels of the doors. The overall look was then one of space and light. The walls were colour washed and varnished to match the fabric and a new kitchen was achieved for under £3,000 in total.  Other images show antique green painted MDF, painted pine dresser and table set, and traditional ragged and dragged effect units.

A recommendation from a long-standing customer who commented "Vanessa first applied a special effect to our kitchen units in 1987 and such is her high standard of work and craftsmanship, the finish lasted for many years.  She marbled our kitchen again recently. Vanessa is very skilled at being able to establish a rapport with her customers and is extremely able and patient in translating exactly, peoples ideas onto the relevant surface."
