Hand Painted Kitchens
Hand painted kitchen units, your kitchen transfomed for a fraction of the cost of a new one. This first two examples show a 20 year old pine kitchen, well made and perfect in layout, however the overall look was dark and old-fashioned. The worktop needed stripping and resurfacing, and a new sink unit and taps were required in addition to new flooring. The kitchen units were prepared and hand painted, then a subtle paint effect was applied to the inner panels of the doors. The overall look was then one of space and light, with walls colour washed and varnished to match the curtain fabric. Other images show an antique green hand painted kitchen, a hand painted pine dresser and dining table set, and traditional ragged and dragged effect units.
A recommendation from a long-standing customer who commented "Vanessa first applied a special paint effect to our kitchen units in 1987 and such is her high standard of work and craftsmanship, the finish lasted for many years. She hand painted and marbled our kitchen again recently. Vanessa is very skilled at being able to establish a rapport with her customers and is extremely able and patient in translating exactly, peoples ideas onto the relevant surface." Vanessa started painting kitchens in the early 1980's for Smallbone of Devizes.
In early 2012 she was invited as a guest on the Alan Tichmarsh Show and took her kitchen dresser with her!
